Good luck with that. The volunteers who help here do not spend all day just waiting for urgent requests. We have lives too, but we enjoy helping students, so we check in on the web site several times during the day.
If you have waited until the assignment is due, there is a very good chance that no one will happen to be sitting at the computer at that moment. So if you need help, post your question, and it will probably get a response within an hour or two, if someone who knows that subject area stops by to check.
In this case, the change is indeed linear, since the cost decreases by a fixed amount for each donut.
