While many students become involved in sports simply because they love the game, organized team sports offer several significant benefits.

Teamwork

Organized team sports are centered around multiple students participating at the same time. Everyone is working toward a common goal whether on the field, court, or track. Students learn what role they can play in order to work together to achieve that goal.

Time Management

Academics play the biggest role in students' lives during school, so learning to balance academics and athletics is vital to the success of both. Student-athletes must learn how to prioritize the workload of the classroom with practice and game times.

__________

Students who participate in organized team sports have less of a sedentary lifestyle. They are more physically fit and experience a lower risk of factors that are detrimental to their overall health.
