Chloroplasts play an important role in energy production in plant cells. However, some parts of a plant, like the roots, lack chloroplasts. In one to two sentences, explain the most likely pathway for root cells to obtain energy, and identify the organelles involved.
Pls help I have an F in science and I need to fix that.

  8. Sugars are transported to the roots from the leaves, in the phloem, and then respiration of these produce ATP which is used to drive their metabolic processes such as active uptake of minerals from the soil. Mitochondria helps the root cell get energy!.

Your welcome! Also! idk if this is the answer yet but im confident it is! :>

-First, sugars are transported to the roots from the leaves, in the phloem (Phloem is the complex tissue, which acts as a transport system for substance organic compounds within vascular plants.) and then respiration of these produce ATP (Short for adenosine triphosphate.) An organic compound which is used to drive their metabolic processes such as active uptake of minerals from the soil.

(I just edited and made this more clear for those who couldn't wrap their heads around what "I'm depressed...but that's okay..!". So most of the credit goes to he/her.)

-Hope this made it more clear for everyone, have a nice day!
