I have 4 questions I’m stuck on,

1) -4K+2(5k-6)=-3k-39

2) -16+5n=-7(-6+8n)+3

3)10p+9-11-p=-2(2p+4)-3(2p-2)

4) 10n+3(8+8n)=-6(n-4)

Well, I will attempt number 3. They are all the same really.

Suggest you google
math is fun distributive property
3)10p+9-11-p=-2(2p+4)-3(2p-2)
10 p - 2 = -4 p - 8 - 6p + 6
10 p - 2 = - 10 p - 2
20 p = 0
p = 0
----------------------------
now go back and check
-----------------------
3)10(0)+9-11-(0)=-2(2(0)+4)-3(2(0)-2)
0 -2 = -8 + 6
-2 = - 2 sure enough

Reiny, I’m sorry you don’t see my effort but I’ve tried this on my own 3 times already and all I’m trying to do is make sure I’m doing the steps right.

Thank you Damon

I don't see your efforts or responses.

I will do the third one for you, follow the same kind of steps for the others

10p+9-11-p=-2(2p+4)-3(2p-2)
9p - 1 = -4p - 8 - 6p + 6 <--- simplified the left side, used the distributive property on the right
9p - 1 = -10p - 2 <---- I simplified the right side
9p + 10p = -2 + 1 <---- I added 10p to both sides, and I added 1 to both sides
19p = -1
p = -1/p <----- I divided both sides by 19, the coefficient of my variable, this is very common as the last step

general rule for your questions:
expand, using the distributive property where you see the brackets
simplify each side
make sure your variables are on one side, the constants (the plain numbers) are on the other side
As your last step, divide both sides by the number you see in front of the variable (the coefficient)

Damon's solution is correct, I somehow lost the -11 on the left side, my bad

Sure, I can help you with these equations. To solve them, we can follow a series of steps:

1) Simplify both sides of the equation by performing the necessary operations such as distributing and combining like terms.
2) Move all the variables to one side of the equation and the constants to the other side in order to isolate the variable.
3) Solve for the variable by dividing both sides of the equation by the coefficient of the variable.

Let's go through each equation step by step:

1) -4K + 2(5K - 6) = -3K - 39

First, let's simplify the expressions inside the parentheses:
-4K + 10K - 12 = -3K - 39

Next, combine the like terms on both sides of the equation:
6K - 12 = -3K - 39

Now, let's move all the variables to one side and the constants to the other side:
6K + 3K = -39 + 12

Combine the like terms on both sides again:
9K = -27

Finally, divide both sides of the equation by 9 to solve for K:
K = -3

2) -16 + 5N = -7(-6 + 8N) + 3

First, simplify the expression inside the parentheses:
-16 + 5N = 42 - 56N + 3

Next, combine the like terms on both sides of the equation:
5N + 16 = -56N + 45

Now, move all the variables to one side and the constants to the other side:
5N + 56N = 45 - 16

Combine the like terms on both sides:
61N = 29

Finally, divide both sides of the equation by 61 to solve for N:
N = 29/61

3) 10P + 9 - 11 - P = -2(2P + 4) - 3(2P - 2)

First, distribute the -2 and -3 across the parentheses:
10P + 9 - 11 - P = -4P - 8 - 6P + 6

Combine the like terms on both sides:
9P - 2 = -10P - 2

Move all the variables to one side and the constants to the other side:
9P + 10P = -2 + 2

Combine the like terms on both sides again:
19P = 0

Finally, divide both sides of the equation by 19 to solve for P:
P = 0

4) 10N + 3(8 + 8N) = -6(N - 4)

First, distribute the 3 across the parentheses:
10N + 24 + 24N = -6N + 24

Combine the like terms on both sides:
34N + 24 = -6N + 24

Move all the variables to one side and the constants to the other side:
34N + 6N = 24 - 24

Combine the like terms on both sides again:
40N = 0

Finally, divide both sides of the equation by 40 to solve for N:
N = 0

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
