Solve Algebraically:

5.((x+0)^2)/1+((y+.8)^2)/1=9

12. x^2=1.2y+4.8

i cant get the answer i keep doing it wrong someone please help

first one:

((x+0)^2)/1+((y+.8)^2)/1=9
or
x^2 + (y+.8)^2 = 9
this is a circle with centre at (0, -.8) and radius 3

don't know what you meant by solve, there is nothing to solve for, you have
2 variables.

2nd one:
x^2=1.2y+4.8 ----> y = (5/6)x^2 - 4
parabola , see if you find the vertex and the focal point
