Use the side lengths of the triangle to determine if the triangle is a right triangle. Explain your reasoning.

someone PLZ help

the triangle's lengths are: 8, 12, and 15, I know it's not a right triangle but I don't know how to explain it.🤔

Use the Pythagorean THM to see if a triangle is right.

c-squared = a-squared + b- squared

So if a triangle has sides of 3,4 and a hypotenuse of 5 (across from rt angle)
5^2 = 3^2 + 4^2 or 25 = 9 + 15 25 =25

Ok so a right triangle has 90 degrees, right?😀

Is it right?

So if it is not 90 degrees it is not a right triangle!😃

no, it only has acute angles

how would I explain that only using the side lengths?🤔
