What would be an exciting way to introduce a new character in a story? I need some ideas. Suspense is appreciated!

Because i have two methods but i would like to know which first
Oh, this isn't for homework. I love writing my own stories, and maybe I'll become a real author some day. :)
Sounds Awesome!!!! Thats exactly the same for me! i'm currently writing a fantasy story that i would like to get published.
Anyways, what is the plot of the story? knowing this i might be able to give a good answer to your question! Also, what Type of character do you wanna introduce, Liek is it a shy, quiet person, a hyped up energietic person, boy or girl or other Etc.
I have to go so ill give 2 ideas i have.
You could have a scene where the main character is like in the woods, or in the forest or anywhere in nature, and the main character spots something darting away/moving around in the bushes or behind a tree or something like that, and he/she ignores it at first, like they could just think its an animal or something, then he/she notices it like 2 more times before going to investigate, and then they find out what it is, new character, monster, or just an animal (lol)
My second way is to have them at like a party, or some kind of public event or something like that, and your character notices like, an out caster, or someone who looks lonely or something like that, and they go to talk to them.
