how is using a conversion factor different from using proportions to convert measurement units? Explain which is easier and why.

Conversion factor is where you already know the conversion and the percentage means that you'll have to find the conversion factor to solve the equation. However, if you do not already have a fixed regular conversion, you have to use proportion.
