Question

I need a simile for a butterfly taking flight off a branch.

any ideas?

I remember flying out of elementary school on the last day before summer vacation.

So -- the butterfly took off from the branch like a child released from school for vacation.

I don't think that's very good -- but it might trigger a better idea.
