PLEASE HELP!!! Consider the function y(x) = (√(x-2)) / x^2

a) what type of a function is y(x)?
b) what is the independent variable?

sorry we don't sit around waiting for your next question...

a) The most commonly used graphs are linear, power, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and sinusoidal. Yours is none of these types.

b) whenever you see a function described as
y(x) = ...
the function name (dependent variable) is outside the parentheses -- read y of x is
the independent variable is inside the parens.
