In "All Together Now" Barbara Jordan believes that children "learn ideas and attitudes" from "the adults who nurture them". In an essay, explain what Jordan believes children should learn from their parents and teachers in order to create a harmonious society. Do you agree with her? Are there other lessons and qualities that you think children should learn from adults? How would these lessons help create a harmonious society?   1. Be sure to read Jordan's work more than once or twice. The more familiar you are with it, the better your essay will be. Once over doesn't get it!

Before you start writing any sentences or paragraphs, make a list of what she thinks children should learn. Once you have such a list, you can easily link those that are related and identify which ones are main ideas.
