@ a garden store, a cherry tree cost 5 times as much as a pine tree. If the cherry tree costs $30 how much does a pine tree cost?

Will it be 30 x 5?

Okay, lets say "p" represents the cost of the pine tree. If you are a student at Connexus, then the options would be:

a. 30 - 5 = p
b. 30 x 5 = p
c. 30 / 5 = p
d. 30 / 25 = p
(btw, the '/' means "divided by")
Then answer would be c. 30 / 5 = p because it is the only one that makes sense. If the cherry tree cost $30 and it cost 5 times as much as the cherry tree, then the only way to find the answer is dividing 30 by 5. Also, if you want the answer to the rest of the test IF you are a Connexus student, then here they are:
1. D
2. B
3. C (this is the one we just did)
4. A
5. B
Your welcome, hope this helps ;D
(Lighting strikes the top of your head because yall so stoopid)

30 = 5x

The cherry tree costs 5 times the pine.

funny

tempest is sort of funny

YALL TEMPEST S RIGHT

Pine tree cost $X.

Cherry tree cost $5x.

x/5x * 30 = 1/5 * 30 = Cost of a pine tree.
