Sorry, on the top of the page i ment to say due for response.

The United States and Canada are federal systems. Power is shared between the states and the national government. In a unitary system, all of the power is held in the national government.

Thank You Ms. Sue

Hello Warrior Cat Lover!

To determine why the federal system of government is more complex than a unitary system, let's briefly understand both systems first.

In a unitary system, power is concentrated in the central government, and it holds the authority to make decisions and laws for the entire country. The central government has the ability to delegate some responsibilities to regional or local governments, but they ultimately derive their power from the central government.

On the other hand, in a federal system, power is divided between the central government and regional or state governments. Each level of government has its own set of powers and responsibilities, and they work together to govern the country. There is a division of power, and both the central and regional governments have the ability to make laws and decisions within their respective jurisdictions.

Now, let's analyze the options to find the most appropriate answer:

A. Power is divided into many laws: This option accurately describes the federal system. Because power is divided between the central government and regional governments, there are multiple laws and regulations that govern different aspects of the country.

B. The people get to make laws for the country: This option is not specific to a federal system and could be possible in both systems depending on the country's constitution and governance structure.

C. Decisions are made by a group of people rather than one person: This option is not specific to a federal system and can apply to both systems, as decision-making can involve multiple individuals regardless of the system.

D. Laws are made for the entire country: This option accurately describes a unitary system, where laws are made by the central government and apply to the entire country.

Considering the above analysis, the most appropriate answer to your question is:

A. Power is divided into many laws.

I hope this explanation helps you understand why the federal system of government is more complex than a unitary system. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!

Best regards,
