1. My dream is to help children in Africa.

2. I want to go to Africa and help children while staying there.
3. I want to help children who llive in Africa though I don't need to go there. Staying here, I want to help children living in Africa.
[Does #1 mean #2 or #3? Does 'in Africa' modify 'children' or 'help'?]

#1 can mean either of the others — or both. In 2, you’d go there to help. In 3 you’d most likely send money that others in Africa would use as they work with children.

“In Africa” modifies “children.”
