Anne Frank's legacy is a reminder for all of us, but especially young people, of the horrendous tragedy of WWII's Holocaust. She represents the six million innocent people who perished because of a few truly evil people. Anne's diary vividly illustrates to each generation of readers the humanity and talents of all of the Holocaust's victims.
The Frank family apartment in Amsterdam is now a museum. When I visited it several years ago, its aura was as a holy place. Even loud-mouthed tourists were quiet and reverent.
And we were reminded -- Lest we forget! Never again!
