The distance between Milltown and Summerville is 3.5 inches on a map. If the map scale is 1 inch = 20 miles, what is the actual distance between the towns?

So 3.5*20=70.

If it's 70 then it's in miles?

My answer to the quiz was:

The actual distance between Milltown and Summerville is 70 miles. I got 70 miles by multiplying. 3,5x20=70. So the accurate distance would be 70 miles.

Yes, 70 miles between the two towns.

ok thanks, just checking

You're welcome.

70 miles

no its 20 x 3.5 so it is 70

I can explain there is 3.5 and 1 inch =20 Miles 3Γ—20= 60 now there 0.5 a half inch and a half of 20 so it's 10 60 + 10 = 70

{β€’~β€’} Hi

Math Teacher

you are not epic

its 70 answer key your stupid its not 60 dumb wad

which school do you go to cause to us in my school they have 3.5 my school i'm in is light house connections academy and i checked its 3.5 even Mrs.Sue is correct

thxs Florida Connexus

So if you were so answer the question if you are on connexus you would put. 3.50 In = 3.50

20Γ—3=60
20Γ—.50=10
60+10=70 miles
So the actual distance between Milltown and Summerville is 70 miles.

Its 70. It's really not that hard. You just multiply the distance between the two towns by 20 miles.

BTW guys Answer Key and Gemini Kitten are wrong. Obviously there is a 3.5 and that is the distance between the two towns.

how do you solve 3.5x 20??

Yea thx 😁😁😁😁😁😁

Yeah, it's 70.

You will want to multiply 3.5 by 20 to get your answer, 70.
So,
3.5 x 20= 70

That's what I did anyways.

this deserves a firm noice...

It says that it's 3.5 inches if you go to connexus

"HELLOS" right I got 100 percent on that question

Meow, Thank you Γ›wΓ›~

This test is so expired it is just C R A P that we use jiskha to answers meaning connexus brains are C R A P so sad when you ask your parents

Answer key is actually correct, there is no five anywhere.. Could somone explain to me how exactly they got a 3.5 when its only 3

Dear Connexus Cheaters,

Read your lessons, watch the videos, try the activities, ask your teachers, and learn to solve the math questions without copying the answers from here or anywhere else.

This is a proportion question:

1 inch/20 miles = 3.5 inches/x miles

You will need to cross-multiply and solve for x.

(1 * x) = (3.5 * 20)

Stop cheating, start learning!

No, 70 is actually incorrect. I think it’s 60 miles. 1m=20 x 3 m=60.
