Calculation Without Distribution
(Show all steps.)
Please help!!! i know how to do it with distribution, but i am not sure how to do without.

after a 20% discount, you would be paying 80% or .8

two ways:

1. .8(2.50+4.95+6.00)
= .8(13.45)
= 10.76

2.
.8(2.5) + .8(4.95) + .8(6.00)
= 2.00 + 3.96 + 4.8
= 10.76

-____- i just needed help.. not the answer.. Sorry if i sound rude

i know... ive calculated that and i am pretty sure it 2.69. am i correct?

Keep in mind that I calculated your cost for you, not how much you saved.

You will still have to do that calculation.

I'm lost!

Hi peeps I know what it is but first let me right it down then I give the answers thanks everybody. If you every need me say #Lost I be here to help and check peeps answers!

i dont understand what i am supposed to do without distribution. i know i am really hard to understand but if you cant help its fine

Thank you so much reiny!

reiny is the first without distribution and is the second with distribution or vise versa? or not

But what about the without distrubution?

guys i was wrong dont write that

Btw Reiny is right but here is how much you saved and how to do it:Saved: 13.45-10.76 (by the way I got 13.45 by adding $2.50+$4.95+$6.00=13.45) The total amount saved was $2.69. Thanks guys bye have a great day! Also if you every need me again I be here just say #Lost!

ignore me nvm

wait there r too one with Distribution and without Distribution wuts the second one

anyone please help, doesnt have to be reiny. (by the way i am not trying to rush anyone)

Did you find out which one was distribution and which one wasn't?

1 is the without distribution and 2 is with.

Is that with or without Distributive Property?? I need to know FAST. If I don't get this done I won't be able to see my brother I don't see a lot

or my 4 year old sister I haven't seen for 2 years!!

both

1 is without, 2 is with

I calculated and you will save $2.15. so write you saved $2.15 because 10.76 times 0.2 = 2.152, then you have to round to the nearest hundredths.

I know the answer (i think) 2.69 but i dont know how to work it out :'(

does that help?

If you let the math tutors know what you do and don't understand about this, one of them is more likely to be able to help.
