what is Austen's tone in "On a Marriage Proposal"? I think its unambiguous and comforting. Would those work?

I am unaware of any work by Jane Austen titled "On a Marriage Proposal". She wrote seven novels, six of which were finished and published (the seventh was unfinished at the time of her death). Are you reading an excerpt from one of the novels?
