State two factors that may cause newly married couples to delay parenthood
There may be several. Money may be one. It's expensive to raise children! Education may be another, if one or both of the couple are in school. Career advancement may be another, if one or both wish to concentrate on establishing a career before adding parenthood to their lives. There may be others, too, such as difficulty in conceiving.
Both have very demanding jobs.
What can you think of for a second reason?
Their emotional readiness some young couples don't think their capable or ready to take care of a child they want to be ready emotionally inclined
And desire not to be hindered by kids... travel, partying,
and desire to not pass on "bad" genes (ie, breast cancer)
and some folks just dont like kids, and have the courage to admit it.
Having a kid and doing it right is a decision that has long term impacts and consequences.
and finally, some folks who get married are not ready to be, or planning to be married for ever and ever.
