As you posted it, this question is impossible to answer. Your answer is right if we only count languages with more than one million Indian speakers. However, There are many more languages spoken in India.

tbh the answer to the question 'Although India has only 16 official languages, the people there speak more than ____ languages' the answer should be 800, in the text book connexus provied me on page 99 in the first paragraph they tell you the answer
I am not trying to be irrelevant or saying the wrong answer, but wouldnt 30 work because the people there could speak over 1,000 and 1,000 is more than 30

I would personaly go with 3 because there are some people who speak even over 100 languages. But you choose what you think is correct. It's not right for someone to make decisions for you, because you have your own freedom.
