The table shows information about the number of sweatshirts sold and the money collected at a fundraiser for school athletic programs.

Sweatshirts Sold 3 5 8 __ 12
Money Collected 60 _ _ 180 _

The above is supposed to be a ratio table but I am not sure on how to find out the missing numbers for the above. Please help me

So. I found out all the missing numbers.

3 sweatshirts for $60.00=$20.00 per sweatshirt

$20.00 for 1 sweatshirt x 5 sweatshirts=$100.00

$20.00 for 1 sweatshirts x 8 sweatshirts=$160.00

$20.00 for 1 sweatshirt x 9 sweatshirts=$180.00

$20.00 for 1 sweatshirts x 12 sweatshirts=$240.00

Now I have all the numbers for the table. I am confused though for the question that asks use the unit rate to complete the table.

The question is as follows:

Find the rate if money collected per sweatshirt sold. Show your work.

Use the unit rate to complete the table

Use the first pair to get the ratio

60/3 = 20

So, for each pair, the 2nd value should be 20 times the 1st value.

What is the answer

On 7.1 6th grade math, Page 177,i don't understand because my teacher doesn't teach us.Can you help me.

This is not all the answers can u plz help

How would you graph the information from the table or how would you explain how to graph the information from the table?

Thanks Steve!

plz help my problem is in the chart idk what the answers are plz help

20

I think I figured it out. It would be linear or on a coordinate plane

Matt, I would choose one on the x axis (probably the sweatshirts) and the other (money collected) on the y axis. It will be linear because they go up in a linear fashion.

This site won't allow pictures to be posted...I don't think

I thought the problem was going to be more difficult and I appreciate your help.

how much would the sweatshirt cost if u sell 24

Matt, do you have a similar question to view?

The only thing I am confused a bit on is the second part of the question where it states

Use the unit rate to complete the table. The only thing I can think of is as follows:

3sweatshirts/$60.00 dollars=$0.05 for 1 sweatshirt

5 sweatshirts/$100.00=$0.05 for 1 sweatshirt.

So then the question asks. Use the unit rate to complete the table.
3 sweatshirts sold/$0.15 money collected because it would be $0.05x3=$0.15

5 sweatshirts sold/$0.25 money collected

Am I doing it right for the second way that they want the ratio table done?

I think you meant to send Thanks Steve! to Steve.

Ms. H would you know how you would graph the information from the table or how you would explain how to graph the information from the table?
Also if I am using the unit rate to complete the table did I do the above correctly?
