    3 times the difference between the 2nd and 5th term is 36.

    4(2a + 7d) = 128
    2a + 7d = 32

    3(a+d - a - 4d) = 36
    -3d = 12
    d = -4

    in 2a + 7d = 32
    2a - 28 = 32
    2a = 60
    a = 30
