I'm sure it is a good book. I also think you are right that Writeacher, Ms. Sue, and I should read it! It is, however, hard for us to help you (and others) with this assignment. We do not know what is meant by your "reading character role" exercises are.

I think you are being asked to identify three or four themes found in the book - things the author wanted you to think about - that would be suitable for discussion in a group of people who have also read the book, as in a class discussion.

Alright, so, the character reading role is provided in the first lesson of this subject if you're a connexus student.

Pretty much you choose between Discussion Director, Word Watcher, Summarizer, Luminary, and Connector.

If you can't find where it says this (or you're just too lazy to) i'll go ahead and copy it for you.
