Compare the line passing through the points (−3, −11) and (6, 4) to the line given by the equation y=35x−6.

A. They have the same slope.
B. They have the same x-intercept.
C. The two lines are perpendicular.
D. They have the same y-intercept.

I say c if it is wrong what is right answer?

  1. slope = 15/9 = 5/3
    y-4 = 5/3 (x-6)
    y = 5/3 x - 6

    The lines are not perpendicular, because the slopes are not negative reciprocals.

    The line through the points is perpendicular to

    y = -3/5 x - 6

    However, they do both have a y-intercept of -6.

  2. Sir 2.0 you typed the GODDAMN QUESTION WRONG!! NOW I HAVE TO WASTE TIME TYPING THIS GOODDAMN RESPONSE TO YOUR GODDAMN MENTAL DISORDER!!! that being said the equation SHOULD be y=3/5x-6 and the answer is C. The two lines are perpendicular.
