The volume of a cube is increasing at a rate of 2 1/2cm cube/sec. Find the rate of change of sides .

1. v = s^3
dv/dt = 3s^2 ds/dt
so,

3s^2 ds/dt = 5/2

as you can see, the rate of change of the sides depends on the size of the cube.
