    If the ordered pair has opposite signs, that means that the pair could either be in quadrant 1, or quadrant 4.

  7. if they had opposite signs they would be in quadrants 2 or 4 not 1 or 4 because if they were in quadrant 1 they would both be positive

  9. They must lie in quadrants 2 and 4, In quadrant 1 both the y and x-coordinates are both positive so that cannot be it. In quadrant 2 the y-coordinate is positive and the x-coordinate is negative so that is correct. In quadrant 3 both the y and x-coordinates are negative so that is wrong. in quadrant 4 the y-coordinate is negative and the x-coordinate is positive which means that is correct.
