  1. 40 * 3.5 = _______ km

  2. distance = rate x time
    = 40(3.5) = 140 km

    Mmmmmhhhh, I doubt if you can get from Paris, France to London England in 3.5 hrs going at 40 km/h

    However, in southern Ontario where I live, there are a London and a Paris which happen to be about 100 km apart.
