Explain how you can use a straightedge and a compass to construct an angle that is both congruent and adjacent to a given angle.

this online school stuff is so depressing man

i only came here to get good grades so my family can be proud of me 😔

true...but I have barely any friends and im isolated from society...

Summary of comments no awnser to question. the comments themselves 10/10 would read again!

"Ugh" is my answer everytime someone asks "ready for school!?"

I think the answer is that you use the straightedge to draw two parallel lines and then you draw a line that goes through them that is perpendicular. You then use the compass to measure the angles, they should be congruent and adjacent. Any help would be appreciated.

So like. Will I be failing Geometry this year or what?

Me who has been doing online school for 8+ years looking back on how depressed i was (still am)

but at least I get to nap after school if I want

these comments are concerning- i just need help....

WTH dude whats the dang answer bruh

can someone just awnser the question. Im tired of looking

first, you need to draw two intersecting lines, while you are using a straightedge. The lines can form an angle. the label of a vertex shows how an angle has the point O. so you will set the compass to a convenient radius and with the point O which is your center, you can draw a circle

This is half of an entire class

ya'll im just trying to do my quiz reworks ;-; these comments are depressingly relatable, but i just need the answers lol

I am so ready to go back to school I am tired of being at home I want to find me some friends so I can go out and do something because I am so sad

damn so are we all going through it rn ????

i hate and am depressed bc of online school too but can y'all just give us the answer 😭

Wow, reading everyone's depressing messages makes me sad. Aren't most of us though. I do be homeschooled before and after covid -_-

what am i reading...

y’all don’t help at all

yo I am trying my best in math but it is too hard

honestly ive been trying at this all day and im about to join two of the answers together cause i hate geometry and im going to cry 😭😂.

Uhhhhh ya know what, I'm just going with the original suggestion...

jeez reading everyone's comments on here making me sad af. ngl feel the same as most of you guys but at least i don't gotta see people.

rip passing geometry this year gl everyone

i’m so sad. I’ve been online for 3yrs now i just wanna go back to school now i hate this online stuff. it’s not for me.

blue got the answer lol

bruh i just fr need the answer lol

This is my first year doing online school 😱

SO CAN YALL HELP OR????????? :(

same Queen, been here since 9th grade 🤦🏾‍♂️

Im only doing online school cuz its more flexible with my sport schudel

Yikes! Teacher for one the schools you all are here to cheat at rather than genuinely learn. I'm truly sympathetic and heartache-y for the volume of low feelings expressed. I also want you to know that after years of teaching this course I recognize each of the listed answers above as having been floating around a long time and ripped from elsewhere on the internet. Even the people answering here are just plagarizing from someone else. It is more obvious than you think. If you are looking somewhere for answers - try your eTextbook. Page 44 of your textbook, linked in your lessons, gives the steps for constructing congruent angles, which you can read and look over a few times to get the general process. If you want to make it congruent AND adjacent, you'd just start the congruent angle construction on one ray of the existing angle rather than a new spot on the paper.

took so long to get the answer cause yall talking LOL.

are y'all okay??

yall pls i need to finish this i have to leave for music lessons soon omg

yall i’m depressed asfc too its hell. i got 0 friends n im bouta end it 🤭

So... did any of you graduate yet?

use the edge to construct an arbitrary angle, with vertex at O.

Mark an arc through the sides of the angle. Let the arc intersect the rays at A and B. Continue the arc on past B for a distance.

Set the compass at B, and to the width of AB.

Still with the compass at B, mark an arc to intersect the first arc at C.

Now you have AB = BC.

Since the radius OA=OB=OC, angles AOB and BOC are congruent.

Use the compass and the stright edge to see what the other angle is then make a complementary and adjacent angle to it
