draw the graph of equation y=x+2
pick any two points on the graph. Connect them with a straight line.
Two easy choices are when x=0 or y=0.
x=0 means y=2, so one point is (0,2)
y=0 means x = -2, so the another point is (-2,0)
Plot those two points and draw a line though them.
If you cannot plot a point, you'd better do some review of your text.
