Calculate the H+ for number #2
#2 : H+ = 10^-2, with a pH of 2
Not sure how to calculate H+
Ok I think i got it
H+= 10^pH
H+=10^2
H+=100M
In the next question it asked to calculate the pH now.
pH=-log (1OOM)
pH= -2
Is this right or did I do this wrong :(
Ok I guess theres suspose to be a negative sign here...10^-pH
so really its 0.1 M
with a pH= 2
0.1 M is pH = 1
Yes, it is (H^+) = 10^-pH
If you have (H^+) = 10^-2, that is 0.01
To calculate the H+ concentration, we can use the formula:
H+ = 10^(-pH)
In this case, the pH is 2. Plug in the value into the formula:
H+ = 10^(-2)
To evaluate 10^(-2), we can rewrite it as 1 / 10^2:
H+ = 1 / 10^2
Simplifying further:
H+ = 1 / 100
Therefore, the H+ concentration for number #2 is 0.01.
