I have been working on this problem but I am not sure I am doing it right.

During takeoff an airplane's angle of ascent is 18 degrees and its speed is 275 feet per second.

A. Find the plane's altitude after 1 minute.
B. How long will it take for the plane to climb to an altitude of 10,000 feet?

For a. 275 Cos18 and I got an altitude of 261.5

1. In order to work out the altitude of the plane after one second it is 275sine(18) (sine rather than cosine, as sine uses the opposite side divided by the hypotenuse), which is 84.98 feet. Therefore, after one minute it is 84.98 x 60, which is 5098.78 feet

for part b i got 1 minute and 57.68 seconds
(10000/sin18) divided by 275 to find the number of seconds
