SP bisects <RST. Find the m<RST if m<RSP = (3x-20)

and m<PST = (9x-26)

I did 3x-20=9x-26 subtracted 3x from each side,

-20=6x-26 now i added 26 on each side

6=6x and got x=1

I think x = 1 but now what do i do?

Now you know that

RSP = PST = -17

So, since RST = RSP + PST,
RST = -34

Not sure what the negative values indicate. Sure there's not a typo in the problem?

Good job! You correctly solved the equation for x, which is x = 1. Now, let's find the measures of angles RSP and PST using this value of x.

Given that m<RSP = (3x - 20) and m<PST = (9x - 26), substitute x = 1 into both expressions:

m<RSP = (3 * 1 - 20) = -17
m<PST = (9 * 1 - 26) = -17

Since angles cannot have negative measures, it seems that there might be an error in your initial problem or equations. Please double-check the given values for m<RSP and m<PST to ensure they are correct.
