  1. looks like an arithmetic sequence with d = 17
    and term2 = -243
    a+d = -243
    a = - 260

    term(67) = a+66d
    = -260 + 66(17)
    = ...

    you should have at your finger-tips the formulas for the sum of n terms
    you have the a and the d, so plug in
