4. It looks like all you have to do is combine like terms and right them in standard form, from largest variables to smallest, ex. 4x^2 + 3x - 3.

6. 5x^2 + 6 - 4x + 9x^2 + 17x
5x^2 + 9x^2 are like terms.
-4x + 17x are like terms.
Combine those like terms.
So: 14x^2 + 13x + 6

Same applies with the second expression.

8. all the terms that are x^2 need to be added together "combined". all the x's need to be combined and all the constants (just the number by itself) need to be added. This is called combining like terms. x^2 can only be added to other x^2. and x's can only be added to other x's. you cannot add an x^2 with an x term. Hope this helps
