I have to find slope of the co-ordinates (8,116) and (18,268) i got 76/5 but this doesn't seem right. Isn't slope supposed to be a whole number or simple fraction?

  1. y2-y1 = 268-116 = 152
    x2-x1 = 18-8 = 10
    so slope = 152/10 = 76/5 yes correct

slope is rise over run, does not have to be simple, can be negative, whatever.
