One student generates a short, loud sound of wavelength 0.7576 m. Another student, who is 100 m away, hears the sound exactly 0.300 s later. What is the frequency of this sound?

  1. speed = 100/.3 = 333 m/s

    .7576 = 333* T
    T = .00227 seconds
    f= 1/T = 440 Hz
