Derive the coefficient of surface tension for water

This is not something one can derive, it has to be measured.

h=2γcosθ/ρgr

Where:

h is the height the liquid is lifted in capillary tube.

γ is the liquid-air surface tension.

ρ is the density of water.

r is the radius of the capillary tube.

g is the acceleration due to gravity = 9.81 m/s2

θ is the angle of contact between glass and water. (for glass water interface = 0 )
