What is 6x3 / 9 - 1?

I got 6 x 3 = 18 / 9 - 1 = 1

But for the answers it only

I bet you have another confusion between multiplication and raising to a power.

Must be a typo in either the question or the answers. I just note that

6*3/9+1 = 3
