which statement is false?

A: 3.648 reapeating=is rational
B:-3 2/13=rational

  • math -

    b) -3 1/2 = -7/2
since we just wrote the number as a fraction, it is rational

    a) you don't say which digits repeat,
Should we assume the .648 repeats ?

    so we have 3.648648648....
    = 3 + 648/999
    = 3645/999 = 135/37 which is also rational

    So neither statement is false
