Christine went shopping and brought each of her eight nephews a gift , either a video costing 14.95 or a cd costing 16.88. she spent 133.41 on the gifts. How many videos and how many cds

I will assume she bought 8 gifts, so
let the number of videos be v
let the number of Cd's be 8v
so 14.95v + 16.88(8v) = 133.41
14.95v + 135.04  16.88v = 133.41
1.93v = 1.63
v = 1.63/1.93 which is not a whole number
since v must be a whole number, your problem is flawed.
