6x3y = 6 and 5x + 7y = 41
I got stuck on this problem and my answers are outrageous so please help?

from the first equation,
y = 2x+2
put that into the 2nd equation to get
5x + 7(2x+2) = 41
5x + 14x + 14 = 41
9x = 27
x = 3
so
y = 8
