ms. gries is an athlete. she is skis every day for 5 days. she skis for 1 1/2 hours for her first day and increases her time by 1 1/4 hours for her next four days. how many hours will she ski on the fifth day? show you work

    each day she adds 1 1/4 = 5/4 hours
    After 4 days she has added 4 * 5/4 = 5 hours

    Since she started out with 1 1/2 hours, on the 5th day she skied 1 1/2 + 5 = 6 1/2 hours.
