If paul pays the newspaper company 70% of what he collects how much would he keep for himself in a month when he collected $450.00

He keeps 30% for himself.
450 * 0.3 = ?
135 dollars...

70 X
__ =____
100 450
So first we cross multiply 70*450 which is 31,500.
Then we divide 31,500 by 100 and we get $315
Now im not really sure if i got the write answer because im not sure if we have to ue proportion work.
