Compare and Contrast Essay for Preschool
Pre-school (Pre-K) and Kindergarten, on an equal level; when it comes to the educational standards of teaching. Preschool allows student an opportunity for additional educational preparations, so that the first impression in to Kindergarten is most impressionable. Starting their lives and educations in the “Chronological order of education,” children are more likely to become successful contributors to society; which makes early childhood education a positive directive. There are other alternatives that parents may seek to ensure academics in their children, even though there are some great benefits to this early learning environment, there are also benefits for children who stay at home. At home schooling provides children with the advantage of working directly with parent or instructor, a variety of curriculum, flexible school schedule and healthier lunches.
Attending a Pre-K program based, charter, public or private school will aid in the development and growth of children. Preschool is a level of learning where children are taught alphabets, numbers, animal, shapes, five senses, and also are exposed some area subjects such as math, reading and science. Social interaction among others is one important skill that will be taught to children. School is not just about academic learning preschool will help children learn about taking turns, sharing and solving conflict. Interacting with other peers will help their social skills and will assists in their communication skills.
Mandatory enrollment for pre-school and Kindergarten is quite simple. Some parents enroll their children in these classes on their own better judgment, adding to the “higher positive statistic rate as far as the benefits of early childhood education” (Leach, 2000).
Children will receive a head start in life due to attending pre-school and Kindergarten because they will be that much more advanced than child entering first grade with no prior schooling behind them. Their language will be clearer and fluent, as well as a sense of maturity for their age when they enter the first grade. Exposure to activities such as group time, recreation time, and field trips will help children with their individuality.
Even though preschool programs should be researched before children attend, not all parents have access to available resource to have their children learn at home. Home schooling has been researched that children who have this exposure are more advance also because they have been given direct learning and have a hands on environment with a parent or close instructor. Despite shorter schooling hours, home schools have consistently scored at or above average in virtually all subject areas on standardized tests. Studies have shown that children whose parents are directly involved in their education are more inclined to excel in academics. Indeed, a home-schooled child is aware of the dedication of his parents to his educational success.
Preschool and home schooling are two educational components that will help aid in the growth and development of children. There are some great benefits to preschool programs the opportunity to interact with other children, learning social skills that will help develop individuality, guidelines for parents to follow, and the opportunity to meet other parents. These benefits will allow your child to be in a fun learning environment. While most children may have access to do these activities with their parents, it is a completely different experience for children when they have the opportunity to play with their peers. Overall a good preschool program will have value in a child’s curiosity to learn and grow.
What is your thesis statement??
Your thesis statement must include factual information plus your position/opinion/stance. Without your position on the topic, it isn't a true thesis statement. So think of this sentence as the angle you want to take on the topic and what you intend to prove by the end of your paper. (If your statement is simply factual, then there's nothing to prove!)
Read carefully and follow ALL directions.
This is one of the very best places I've seen online to help students write good thesis statements. It shows you sentences that aren't thesis statements and how to turn each one into real thesis statements.
