DO YOU THINK BLOGGING AND INCREASED EXPOSURE TO INFORMAL WRITING HAS AN AFFFECT ON STUDENTS ACADEMIC WRITING QUALITY.

    Absolutely -- including the use of all caps when people write. That habit became the topic of comments on a Facebook thread I was reading this morning.

    In addition, there are problems in these areas below, but the worst part of it all is when students don't want to learn to use standard English.

    spelling
    capitalization
    punctuation
    unacceptable word choices
    etc.
