when 33 is subtract from a number it reduce to its 5/8.what is number.

    hmm, i'm not sure with that "reduce to 5/8". i interpreted it in two ways:
    A.) 5/8 as a number:
    let n = number
    thus,
    n - 33 = 5/8
    n = 33 5/8

    B.) 5/8 of the original
    n - 33 = (5/8)n
    n - (5/8)n = 33
    (3/8)n = 33
    n = 33*8/3
    n = 88

    hope this helps~ :)
