If you are pushing a box with 100 N of force and the maximum friction is 150 N. What is the net force of the box?

  • Physics -

50 N, and it is slowing down, because the pushing force is less than the friction force.

  • Physics -

Wow, thank you! I was off then, I thought it was 0 N since the maximum friction is 150 N and I thought that is how much you needed to move the box.

    Thank you once again bobpursley
