A ractangular lawn 70m by 50m has two crosslands, each 5m wide, running through its middle, one parallel to its length and the other parallel to its breadth find the cost of constructing the road as Rs. 20 per meter sqaure.>

(5 x 50) + (5 x 70)  25 = total area of the crosslands.
As for how much cost is required, just times the cost of constrution. Because I dunno what you mean by "Rs. 20" 
We are not interested in the name of your school.
Is a crossland a road? If so, I agree with Hayyley's answer. The 25 is subtracted because of an intersection that does not have to be counted twice.
The answer would be in Rupees
