50.0 kg stoplight hangs from wire over middle of an intersection. wire makes 15 degree angle with horizontal. find tension in each end of the wire

    well, assuming both sides of the wire support have the weight, then look at one side. Up= mg/2, and sinTheta=up/tension, or tension= mg/(2sin15)
