consider a solid metal ball with radius r and charge q. what is the electric field intensity at the center, anywhere inside the ball and anywhere outside the ball?

    The charge is on the outside. Consider Gauss' Law. When inside, the contained charge is zero. When outside, it appears that the enclosed charge is q at the origin.
